Applications
The various applications are :
Injection Moulding Machines : Linear potentiometers are used for
monitoring and controlling the
clamping stroke, injection stroke and ejector stroke in microprocessor
based machines.
Blow Moulding Machines: Linear potentiometer is successfully
implemented in place of LVDT for
parison control. You achieve the same results with one forth of the
cost.
Hydraulic Press: Pressure transducer is used in hydraulic press to
measure pressure of the
hydraulic oil which in turn provides the clamping force/ tonnage. The
linear potentiometer is used
to monitor and control the position of the moving jaw.
Extrusion Machines/ Film Lines: Melt pressure transducers are used
to measure the pressure of
the molten plastic and to enable the AC drive to change the speed of the
screw to maintain the
desired set pressure. By maintaining this pressure the gauge of the
material remains within close
tolerance. WEB tension load-cells are used to measure the tension exerted
by the film on roller to
wind the film properly.
